Tramadol is similar to opioid ( narcotic ) analgesics. It works in the brain to change how your body feels and responds to pain. This medication is used to help relieve moderate to moderay severe pain.

Older adults may be more sensitive to the side effects of this drug, especially confusion, dizziness, drowsiness, and slow/shallow breathing.

Avoid alcoholic beverages.
